FAQs

If you haven’t already seen our How We Work page, we suggest you go there first:

Below are some of the questions we get asked a lot, and if you can’t find your answers here, why not call us for a chat?

“How would you describe your design style?”

Whilst we certainly have our own personal taste & preferences, we wouldn’t be doing our job if we applied that to every project. We serve our clients best by getting to know them, drawing out their own personal style and using that as a starting point.

“Do you only do residential work?”

No. Whilst we love working on residential projects, our background is predominantly commercial. We can apply our skillset across all sectors and scales of projects so if you have an office, restaurant, or retail environment in mind, give us a call.

“At what stage of a project should we get an Interior Designer involved?”

As soon as possible. If you are already making structural changes or extending a property, having an Interior Designer on board early in the project will only benefit you. We may have suggestions about structural elements such as wall & door placement, maximising the flow of space, and window locations, and these will all affect your build. The earlier the better!

“How much will it cost?”

This, of course, depends on what service you require. Prices start from £100 for our Consultation & Brief Development service, after which a firm price for your project can be established. However, before any money changes hands we offer a complimentary discovery call: thirty minutes of our time in which you can tell us what you want to achieve and ask us more about how we work. Ready to get in touch?

“Can you help with the architectural or structural elements of a project?”

Yes… and no. We have an excellent working knowledge of how things are constructed, but it’s important to note that we are not Structural Engineers or Architects. We will not produce construction drawings or advise you in a professional technical capacity. If you wish to undertake significant structural changes we are happy to work alongside other consultants, or we can put you in touch with our own contacts.

“We just need ideas about space planning, can you help?”

Absolutely. We are happy to create plans showing you different options for your space at an agreed fee. If you would like to use our full interior design service afterwards, that’s great too.

“How can I be sure the design will reflect my own style rather than that of the designer?”

We are passionate that our designs should reflect our clients, rather than be an homage to our own taste.

Of course we are keen to push the boundaries, and we encourage our clients to be bold in their choices. But at the start of every project we take plenty of time to establish a brief that accurately reflects our clients’ needs and wants. We consistently refer back to this brief throughout the project to ensure we are staying on track.

“Are you a kitchen & bathroom supplier?”

No. But we do design them. Supply and fit of any of our designs would need to be by a specialist joiner or fitter and your kitchen or bathroom would be entirely unique to you.

We can also work in conjunction with high street companies if the budget dictates.

“I redecorated recently but the space still feels unfinished.

Can you help?”

Of course! We know that it’s the details that make a space, and some of our clients just need a little help pulling a look together. We are happy to help you accessorise and style your space to achieve that final finish.

“Do you do upholstery or make curtains or cushions?”

We don’t make or upholster anything like this. We are great at sourcing these sorts of items though, and can go for off-the-shelf or entirely bespoke using our network of craftspeople.
